Chojuro Asian Pear
Known as the "Rum Pear". Medium to large golden-russet fruit has rich butterscotch or rum-like flavor. Ripens in early to mid-September and keeps until January if refrigerated. Trees are very productive, so be sure to thin fruit early in the season.

Clapp's Favorite Pear Trees
Hardy, productive, all-purpose pear. The ideal pear for dessert, fresh eating and canning. Fruits are very large with lemon-yellow skin blushed red, the white flesh fine-grained, sweet and highly flavored. For best quality pick when full-sized but still green and ripen off the tree. Fruit doesn't keep long. An excellent pollinator for other pears. Ripens in August about 1 to 2 weeks before Bartlett.
